Tournament: Auckland Championship

We are thrilled to announce that we will be hosting an Auckland Kenpo 5.0 tournament for the first time in three years!
There are three divisions available for entry:
- Forms: The forms division involves a solo demonstration of Kenpo 5.0 forms and sets that students learn in class. Students are judged on technique, precision, power, intensity, and presentation.
- Self Defense: The Self Defense division gives students a chance to compete as part of a team. Students perform the practical application of techniques learned in class with a partner or partners.
- Sparring: The sparring division allows students to test their techniques against fellow students of similar age, experience, and weight in a safe and controlled manner. Sparring matches have three judges who score based on effective and controlled striking, takedowns, and the ability to control opponents on the ground. An experienced center referee ensures the match is fair and all rules are followed to maintain a safe competitive environment.
Registration opens for the day open at 8.30am, with competition for the Little Dragons up first, followed by the Kids, Teens and finishing with the Adults. We expect to have completed all kids divisions by 1.30pm.
Tournament entries close on the 17th of July 2023. All entries submitted before the 30th of June will be entered into a draw to win some awesome prizes. Details can be found on the attached entry form.
